FIKA COFFEE: A MINIMALIST OASIS IN THE CITY

Tucked between two larger storefronts on a quiet side street, Fika Coffee is the kind of place you almost walk past — and that seems to be the point. The Scandinavian-inspired interior is all pale wood, white walls, and a single statement pendant lamp.

The menu is short on purpose: two espressos, two filter brews, and a rotating single-origin pour-over. Pastries come from a bakery three blocks away. Owner Ji-won Kim says the constraints are "what makes the cafe feel like a cafe and not a department store."

It works. On a Tuesday morning, every seat is taken, but the space feels calm. The grinder hums, the kettle whistles, and someone in the corner is reading a book on paper.
